Healthcare facilities are required to have redundant, reliable power supplies. This often means multiple sources of power going to the same central location for distribution. If one of those power supplies experiences an error, there is a piece of equipment, an automatic transfer switch, which cuts off that power source and transfers the load to a more stable source. Automatic transfer switches are very complicated, often with hundreds of thousands of parts and a number of configurations. ECA Service is proud to test and maintain the hospital’s automatic transfer switches, as well as its switchgear, ensuring clean, reliable energy for their life support equipment.
