Cargill’s facility in Kansas City North is an industrial icon, and ECA Service is responsible for several electrical tasks, including annual infrared scans, switchgear maintenance, transformer testing, ground point testing, to name a few of the testing and maintenance services we provide. Ground point testing is unique to many large industrial settings such as Cargill. The height off the ground of a lot of Cargill’s equipment leaves it open for more lightning strikes than other facilities. Ground point testing ensures that those spikes in electricity caused by lightning strikes are properly dispersed to ensure the safety of the electrical system, people and the surrounding area.
