ATS Testing

ATS Testing

Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) are an integral part of any electrical system. These devices are extremely complicated, often with hundreds of thousands of parts and numerous configurations. An ATS is tasked with changing or isolating a power source for a piece of equipment, or even a whole system, based on the availability and quality of the power coming to it. Automatic transfer switches are often what switches an electrical system from its normal power source and back.

Automatic transfer switches should be cleaned, tested and maintained at least once every three to five years, but are often done on a more regular basis where they play a more vital role in their environment, such as in a hospital setting.
